Spry Methods, Inc (Spry) is excited to welcome Mr. Basil Parker to the executive leadership team as its Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives. Most recently, Mr. Parker was the Federal Chief Information Officer (FCIO) where he was responsible for overseeing government-wide federal technology spending, federal IT/cyber policy, and strategic planning of Federal IT investments. Before that, he was the Chief of Staff for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
At Spry, Mr. Parker will work with the executive leadership team to define and execute a multi-year growth roadmap and strategy in support of Spry’s continued year-over-year strategic growth in cybersecurity and IT enterprise solutions for our Government clients. “Basil brings a wealth of relevant industry and federal knowledge to Spry. His in-depth understanding of strategic cyber initiatives geared toward stabilization, streamlined implementation and transformation will be critical as Spry continues to grow and support our federal customers, ” said Lori James, Spry Chief Growth Officer (CGO).
Mr. Parker has over 25 years as a Cyber and IT industry leader and has held several executive leadership positions in the private sector. He was responsible for the profit and loss, growth and strategy, and overall business operations at Washington Technology Top 100 companies such as Booz Allen Hamilton, where he was responsible for driving IT and Cyber solutions across the Defense and FedCiv markets, and as a Vice President at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) Federal, where he led and managed the Federal and Cyber markets.
Mr. Parker is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) with a BA in Criminology from the University of Maryland and MA in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University. Mr. Parker is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
