Spry Awarded Earned Value Management and Program Management Contract Supporting SPAWAR Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Program

Spry Methods, Inc (Spry) has been awarded a contract for its continued Earned Value Management and Program Management Support Services of the Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Program/Afloat Submarine C4I IPT (ASC IPT) and Shore Submarine C4I IPT (Shore IPT). Spry supports the SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic Afloat and Shore Submarine C4I IPTs which are tasked by the Undersea Integration Program Office (PMW 770) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Executive Office, Submarines (PMS 450). As part of the SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic mission in supporting the warfighter, the Subsurface Division is the lead organization responsible for the acquisition, installation, integration, and testing of the Common Submarine Radio Room for all classes of US Naval Submarines, including Virginia New Construction. CSRR is an ACAT II Program and Earned Value Management (EVM) is required by the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition (ASN RDA).

The Afloat Submarine Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) Integrated Product Team (IPT) is responsible for cost, schedule, and performance for the CSRR production, integration, assembly, and test efforts. The Shore IPT is responsible for the acquisition, installation, integration and testing of the shore based Low Frequency/Very Low Frequency (LF/VLF) Transmitter sites, Submarine Broadcast Control Authority (BCA) sites, and delivery of Fixed Submarine Broadcast Systems (FSBS) Software Support Activity (SSA) software deliveries. The Shore Submarine C4I IPT has In-service Engineering Agent (ISEA) activities for the FSBS Transmitters and Submarine Operational Authority (SUBOPAUTH) and is also responsible for applicable modernizations and installations. “Spry is extremely pleased to continue its support of this amazing CSRR program, customer and, the SPAWAR Atlantic command”, said Jimi Elderman, Spry’s Director for C4IT Services. “We are committed to the success of the CSRR program and the IPTs that support its crucial mission.”
